Modern Slavery Policy

MODERN SLAVERY POLICY

Paramedic Shop

Effective Date: 4 March 2026

Version 1.1

1. Purpose

Paramedic Shop is committed to ethical business conduct and to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or supply chains. This policy sets out our approach to identifying, preventing, and addressing the risks of modern slavery in our operations.

While Paramedic Shop is not subject to mandatory modern slavery reporting obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) — which applies to entities with annual consolidated revenue of $100 million or more — we voluntarily adopt this policy as part of our commitment to ethical business conduct.

Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It encompasses slavery, servitude, forced labour, debt bondage, deceptive recruitment, and human trafficking. We acknowledge our responsibility to act with integrity and transparency in all business dealings.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees, contractors, and directors of Paramedic Shop
  • Our supply chain, including suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors of the products we sell
  • All business activities conducted under the Paramedic Shop brand, whether in Australia or internationally

3. Our Business

Paramedic Shop is an Australian e-commerce retailer supplying medical equipment, consumables, and healthcare products to paramedics, healthcare professionals, and related industries. We source products from a range of domestic and international suppliers and operate entirely online, serving customers across Australia.

4. Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain includes manufacturers and distributors of medical devices, consumables, and healthcare supplies. We recognise that supply chains in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors can carry a risk of modern slavery, particularly where goods are produced in regions with less rigorous labour protections.

We take steps to understand where our products come from and to assess the level of risk at each point in our supply chain.

5. Our Commitment

Paramedic Shop is committed to:

  • Conducting business in a manner consistent with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and applicable state and territory laws
  • Taking reasonable steps to ensure our suppliers and business partners do not engage in or support modern slavery
  • Building awareness of modern slavery risks within our business
  • Continuously improving our practices to identify, prevent, and mitigate modern slavery risks
  • Providing remedy or redress where we identify that modern slavery has occurred

6. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

We assess modern slavery risk across our supply chain by considering factors such as the country of origin of goods, the sector and industry type, and the nature of the supplier relationship.

Our due diligence process includes:

  • Reviewing supplier information and asking questions about labour practices as part of onboarding
  • Prioritising suppliers who can demonstrate compliance with applicable labour laws and ethical standards
  • Monitoring for any signs of labour exploitation or poor working conditions
  • Engaging with suppliers to encourage transparent and ethical practices

7. Supplier Expectations

We expect all suppliers and business partners to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws relating to labour rights, working conditions, and human rights
  • Not use forced, compulsory, bonded, or trafficked labour at any point in their supply chain
  • Ensure workers are employed voluntarily and free to terminate their employment
  • Pay workers at least the minimum legal wage and comply with working hours requirements
  • Not employ children below the minimum legal working age
  • Maintain safe and healthy working conditions

Where we identify that a supplier is not meeting these expectations, we will engage with them to address the issue. If concerns cannot be resolved, we will consider ending the supplier relationship.

8. Reporting Concerns

We encourage anyone who suspects modern slavery in our business or supply chain to raise their concern. Reports can be made to:

Email: info@paramedicshop.com.au

Website: www.paramedicshop.com.au

All reports will be treated seriously and investigated in a timely manner. We are committed to protecting anyone who raises a concern in good faith from any form of retaliation.

Modern slavery can also be reported to the Australian Federal Police (AFP) or the Australian Border Force (ABF), or via the national hotline at 1800 DontTrade (1800 366 868).

9. Training and Awareness

We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks within our business. We provide information and guidance to help our team understand what modern slavery looks like and how to identify and respond to potential signs of exploitation.

10. Continuous Improvement

We will review this policy annually and update it as our business grows and as best practices evolve. We are committed to improving our approach over time and to being transparent about our progress.

11. Governance and Accountability

Responsibility for this policy sits with the business owner and management of Paramedic Shop. We are accountable for ensuring this policy is implemented and that modern slavery risks are actively managed across our operations.

12. Related Legislation

This policy has been developed with reference to the following legislation:

  • Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth)
  • Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) — Division 270 and 271 (slavery and trafficking offences)
